Pro-Life Vigil London Fri 30 Mar 12
Juventutem London and Juventutem Bristol attended the Latin Mass at the Oratory and then joined the hundreds of peaceful Pro-Lifers at the Prayer Vigil at Bedford Square on Fri 30 Mar 12, lead by Bishop Hope. We prayed the Holy Rosary and meditated on the Stations of the Cross for the end of abortion.
Bishop Hope had the strength and conviction to publicly criticise abortion. So, please keep Bishop Hope in our prayers for upholding the sacred truths which the Catholic Church believes and teaches: ‘Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception’ CCC2270.

Coalition for Marriage Petition
Please sign the petition on true marriage: www.C4M.org.uk
At
Masses this weekend a Letter from Archbishops Vincent
Nichols and Peter Smith on behalf of the Bishops’ Conference of England
and Wales was read out. It is a statement of our Catholic faith about marriage and
issued in the light of the forthcoming consultation by the Government on
changing the legal definition of marriage. In the light of this letter,
you are asked to consider signing the Coalition for Marriage’s online
petition which can be found at www.C4M.org.uk. It reads:
“I
support the legal definition of marriage which is the voluntary union
for life of one man and one woman to the exclusion of all others. I
oppose any attempt to redefine it.”

Plenary indulgence: Fridays in Lent
Behold, O kind and most sweet Jesus, I cast myself upon my knees in thy sight, and with the most fervent desire of my soul I pray and beseech thee that thou wouldst impress upon my heart lively sentiments of faith, hope and charity, with true contrition for my sins and a firm purpose of amendment; while with deep affection and grief of soul I ponder within myself and mentally contemplate thy five wounds, having before my eyes the words which David the prophet put on thy lips concerning thee, O good Jesus: ‘They have pierced my hands and my feet, they have numbered all my bones.’
